| Focus Air 5000 smoke removal air cleaners The 'Focus Air' 5000 is a powerful machine specifically designed for smoke and tobaco odour removal in areas of a volume up to 5000 cubic feet. It is effective in rooms of practically any shape because the louvers on its sides can be pointed towards the corners of the room directing strong high level air flows out to these areas. This causes a return flow of poluted air from all parts of the room back to the centre where it is cleaned and recirculated. The Focus-Air has 4 speed settings via a remote control unit. Smoke, odours, and particle irritants are removed by three stages of filtration: The main filter is a proprietory 3M material the fibres of which are inherently electrostatic. These fibres attract the smoke particles and each fibre of the filter gradually becomes coated. Because the filter fibres present a massive surface area the filter has a very high capacity for smoke removal and is effective over a long period of time - it doesn't just blockup. An activated carbon filter element removes odours and gasses. A course prefilter removes dust and other particulate irritants in the air.
